Designed to be cut or machined out of 18mm plywood nad uses two 18mm sheets laminated together to form a solid and cheap benchtop. Also has the option to use 9mm or similar back panels in the cabinets to save on expensive materials.

Includes .dxf cutting files for CNC machining, STEP files that can be modified to suit your needs, and multiple sets of files to suit different miter saw platform heights and sheet thicknesses (namely ¾ inch ply for our American friends), and options for different style hinges and drawer handles

  • Strong dado assembly of caskets and drawers to support heavy weights and easy, accurate assembly

  • Options for inlaid T-track for stop blocks and jigs (19mm or 30mm style track)

  • Options for various hinge patterns (Hafele 38/6 hinges, etc)

  • Options for various handle hole patterns (123mm mounting holes)

  • Optional pull-out blade storage for spare miter saw blades

  • Optional handle cutouts for plywood handles

Designed for CNC machining using with multiple tools

  • 4mm drill for predrilling handles, hinges, drawer runners and fasteners along dados (if using),

  • 8mm or similar down cut \ compression bit for 9mm deep dados

  • 8mm or similar compression bit for profiles

  • 3 - 4mm or similar downcut\compression bit for profiles \ reveals to get good grain matching on drawer and cabinet fronts

These cabinets can also be made using a router with a plunge base using a guide (such as a long straight edge with clamps), track saw, and some accurate drilling and marking. If you prefer not to use dados, you can also subtract 18mm off the horizontal dimension for panels and stretchers (2 × 9mm dados)

Required Materials

  • 10 sheets of 18mm plywood or similar

  • 1 sheet of 9mm plywood or similar

  • 8 Sets of 550mm - 800mm drawers rails for tool drawers (such as Standard Goliath Drawer Rails, Heavy Duty Goliath Drawer Rails, Standard Hafele Rails)

  • 4 Sets of 550mm - 800mm drawers rails for Systainer drawers (as above)

  • (Optional) 1 set of 550mm - 800mm drawers rails for blade storage (as above)

  • 4 sets of hinges (Hafele 38/2 110 degree hinges or similar)

  • 12 drawer handles (127.5mm hole spacing or similar)

  • PVA glue

  • 8G x 50mm CSK wood screws \ 18GA x 40mm pins

  • Optional 25mm x 37-40mm timber lengths for edge banding benchtops

  • Choice of finishing (such as Polyurethane, Danish Oil or similar)
